--- comments: true tags: - vegetarian --- # :bread: Meat-Free Meat Loaf ![Meat-Free Meat Loaf](../assets/images/meat-free-meat-loaf.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :fork_and_knife_with_plate: Serves | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:----------------------------------:|:-----------------------: | | 6 | 52 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :onion: 1 small onion - :carrot: 1 small carrot - :chestnut: 0.5 cup ground walnuts - :bread: 1 cup bread crumbs - :curry: 1 cup brown lentils - :custard: 0.25 cup soft tofu - :seedling: 2 Tbsp [tahini][1] - :takeout_box: 1 Tbsp soy sauce - :herb: 1 Tbsp parsley - :cut_of_meat: 1 pkg TJ's soy meat - :salt: some salt - :salt: some pepper ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 9x5" loaf pan - 1 skillet - 1 bowl - 1 food processor - 1 pan - 1 foil ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. ### Step 2 Lightly oil a 9x5" loaf pan. ### Step 3 Heat oil in a skillet and sauté minced onion and grated carrot for 5 to 7 minutes. ### Step 4 In a bowl, mix soy meat, ground walnuts, bread crumbs, and the onion mixture. ### Step 5 Pulse cooked brown lentils in a food processor then add to soy meat mixture. ### Step 6 In a food processor, mix soft tofu, tahini, soy sauce, and minced parsley. Stir into the TJ's soy meat and season with salt and pepper. ### Step 7 Mix in extra soy sauce and water as needed until desired texture is reached (add roughly 1/4 cup extra liquid at a time). ### Step 8 Transfer to the prepared pan.
