It helps you remember your people without the pressure. **What Kin does:** - Track people and relationships with rich profiles, tags, birthdays, and check-in cadences - Journal interactions -- log what happened, how much energy it cost, and attach photos from Immich - Resolve conflicts with an AI-assisted support chat and auto-generated resolution plans - Get gentle, never-punitive reminders to stay in touch - Gamification with achievements (including rest achievements like snoozing or grace mode) **First run:** Kin auto-detects an empty database and walks you through a setup wizard to create your admin account. No environment variables needed beyond what is shown below. **AI features (optional):** Set your OpenAI or Ollama API credentials in the Settings page after setup. Kin works perfectly without AI -- it falls back gracefully. **Immich integration (optional):** Connect your Immich server in Settings to attach face-linked photos to journal entries. **Database:** SQLite by default (stored in /data).
