Aggregator Asset Element contained in the FEID that detects and responds to events in an environment Battery Limit of a value. Boundary Aggrupation of elements, such as FEIDs or Virtual Nodes Cluster Comfort setting Entity that consumes energy Consumer Entity that interacts in the platform Customer Groups of customers Customer cluster Reward associated to the customer in terms of monetary remuneration Discount An intelligent device, responsible for collecting information stemming from the field devices (home appliances, distributed energy resources, storage components etc.) to the DELTA Virtual Nodes and facilitate end-to-end communication of signals from/to the Aggregator and to/from the field devices. FEIDs will be equipped with smart meters measuring energy related data (e.g. consumption, generation, emissions, power coefficient, etc.) and through an intelligent lightweight toolkit compute real-time flexibility, providing them as input to the DVN Agent using fog computing techniques, aligned to a strategy (i.e. time interval) imposed to the specific Node by the Aggregator. FEID A feeder is physical asset which belongs to the system operator and used for transferring electricity from sub-stations to areas. Feeder Frequency constraint related to the grid Frequency HVAC Incentive (usually monetary) associated to energy values Incentive Reliability and Fairness Index that refers to the distribution network configuration Index Lightbulb Violation of the grid related to line loading. It indicates that the estimated measurement of a property does not coincide with the required one. Violation condition An aggregated, virtual cluster of prosumers which will be perceived and acted upon as a single, large prosumer entity by the Aggregator. Prosumers entailed into each Virtual Node will have common characteristics, defined by their corresponding Aggregator. Virtual node Voltage constraint related to the grid Voltage Reward associated to the customer in terms of a voucher Voucher This class represents the top-level feature type. This class is equivalent to GFI_Feature defined in ISO 19156:2011, and it is superclass of all feature types. Feature The class represents the top-level geometry type. This class is equivalent to the UML class GM_Object defined in ISO 19107, and it is superclass of all geometry types. Geometry Anything with spatial extent, i.e. size, shape, or position. e.g. people, places, bowling balls, as well as abstract areas like cubes. SpatialThing Duration of a temporal extent expressed as a number scaled by a temporal unit Time duration A temporal entity with zero extent or duration http://www.w3.org/2006/time# Instant A temporal entity with an extent or duration http://www.w3.org/2006/time# Time interval A temporal interval or instant. http://www.w3.org/2006/time# Temporal entity A tangible object designed to accomplish a particular task in households, common public buildings or offices. In order to accomplish this task, the device performs one or more functions. For example, a washing machine is designed to wash (task) and to accomplish this task it performs a start and stop function. Devices can be structured in categories (subclasses) that reflect the different domain in which a device is used, e.g., smart appliances domain (subclass FunctionRelated) vs. building domain (subclass BuildingRelated) vs. smart grid domain (subclass EnergyRelated). New categories can be defined,if needed, to reflect other differences, for example different points of view, such as the point of view of the device's user vs. the point of view of the device's manufacturer. We propose a list of devices that are relevant for the purpose of SAREF, but this list can be extended. https://saref.etsi.org/core/ Device A property related to measurements that are characterized by a value measured in energy units Energy A feature of interest represents any real world entity from which a property is measured. https://saref.etsi.org/core/ Feature Of Interest https://saref.etsi.org/core/ Measurement A property related to measurements that are characterized by a value measured in power units Power A saref:Property crelated to some measurements that are characterized by a certain value that is measured using saref:Currency Price A specification associated to a device to collect information about a certain Property (e.g., Energy) or Commodity (e.g.Water) for optimizing its usage in the home, office or building in which the device is located. This specification is about a certain Property or Commodity (saref:isAbout), can be calculated over a time span (saref:hasTime ) and can be associated to some costs (saref:hasPrice). An example is the Power Profile defined in the SAREF4ENER extension that can be associated to a device for optimizing the Energy efficiency in the home, office or building in which the device is located. https://saref.etsi.org/core/ Profile A quality of a feature of interest that can be measured; an aspect of a feature of interest that is intrinsic to and cannot exist without the feature https://saref.etsi.org/core/ Property The unit of measure is a standard for measurement of a quantity, such as a Property. For example, Power is a property and Watt is a unit of power that represents a definite predetermined power: when we say 10 Watt, we actually mean 10 times the definite predetermined power called \"watt\". Our definition is based on the definition of unit of measure in the Ontology of units of Measure (OM). We propose here a list of some units of measure that are relevant for the purpose of SAREF, but this list can be extended, also using some other ontologies rather than the Ontology of units of Measure (OM). https://saref.etsi.org/core Unit of measure Key performance indicator assessment Key Performance Indicator This is the OpenADR Virtual End Node that is used to interact with the VTN Virtual End Node (VEN) This is the OpenADR Virtual Top Node that is used to interact with the Resources enrolled in the DR Programs.
