            "text": "The Global Cleantech Innovation Index measures which countries have the greatest potential to produce cleantech start-ups that will commercialise clean technology innovations in the next 10 years. It is therefore an important indicator for SDG 8, which aims for sustained and inclusive economic growth. The Global Cleantech Innovation Index is based on two main components: Inputs to Innovation, and Outputs of Innovation. Inputs to Innovation measure conditions that facilitate the development of innovative start-ups in a country. Outputs of Innovation on the other hand are based on evidence of emerging cleantech innovation and emerging commercialised cleantech innovation (which can be scaled-up)."
