# FanFolder Software License Agreement Copyright (c) 2026 Ole Bülow Hartvigsen. All rights reserved. This is a legal agreement between you and Ole Bülow Hartvigsen ("Licensor") for the FanFolder software application, including the compiled executable, installer, documentation, and any updates ("the Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software. --- ## 1. License grant — free for life Licensor grants you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to: - install and use the Software on any number of devices you own or control, for personal or commercial purposes, at no charge; and - redistribute unmodified copies of the official installer, provided this Agreement is included with every copy and no fee is charged for the Software itself. All current and future features are and will remain free. No feature will ever be placed behind a payment, subscription, or time-limited trial. --- ## 2. Source code — not provided The Software is licensed, not sold. You are not granted any rights to the source code. The source code is proprietary to Licensor and is not distributed. --- ## 3. Restrictions You may not: - reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except where applicable law expressly permits it; - modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software; - rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or otherwise charge any fee for the Software; - remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices; - misrepresent the origin or authorship of the Software; or - use the Software in violation of any applicable law or regulation. --- ## 4. Ownership The Software is the intellectual property of Licensor and is protected by copyright laws and international treaties. Licensor retains all rights, title, and interest. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. --- ## 5. Optional donations The Software is provided free of charge. If you find it useful, you may make a voluntary donation ("buy me a coffee") to support continued development. Any donation is a gift and does not grant you any additional rights. --- ## 6. No warranty THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. --- ## 7. Limitation of liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF LICENSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. --- ## 8. Termination This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use and destroy all copies. Sections 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9 survive termination. --- ## 9. Governing law This Agreement is governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. --- ## 10. Entire agreement This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Licensor concerning the Software and supersedes all prior understandings. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. --- ## 11.
