ASSET LICENCE

This pack is free. The licence below is the SAME licence that ships with the paid Verdant
packs — being free does not make it more restrictive, and it does not make it less.

You are granted a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use the artwork in this
pack, subject to the terms below.

YOU MAY
  - Use these tiles in commercial and non-commercial projects, including paid games,
    on an unlimited number of projects, with no royalty.
  - Use them in projects for clients, and in projects developed as part of a team.
  - Modify, recolour, extend, remix and build upon the tiles freely.
  - Distribute them as an incorporated part of a game, application, film, video or
    other end product, including in a compiled asset bundle for such a product.
  - Use them without crediting us. Attribution is welcome but never required.
  - Ship a released, commercial game built on nothing but this free pack. There is no
    trial period, no "sample only" restriction and no obligation to buy anything.

YOU MAY NOT
  - Resell, sublicense or redistribute the pack itself, or any substantial portion of
    its tiles, as an asset pack, tile pack, template, or asset library — whether free
    or paid, whether modified or not. The tiles are licensed for USE in a product, not
    for redistribution AS a product.
  - Use them to train, fine-tune or evaluate a generative machine-learning model.
  - Claim authorship of the artwork itself, or register it as your own trademark.

  THE ARTWORK IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
  INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
  PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE
  LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT,
  TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ARTWORK OR THE USE
  OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE ARTWORK.

RELATIONSHIP TO THE PAID PACKS
  Every tile in this sample is byte-for-byte identical to the same tile in Verdant 01 —
  Overworld. This is checked mechanically before the pack is built, by comparing the
  SHA-256 of each generated tile against the file Verdant 01 actually ships; the build
  refuses to run if any tile differs. If you buy Verdant 01 later, these files are
  already part of it and will not conflict, change appearance, or need replacing.

ORIGIN OF THE ARTWORK
  Every tile in this pack was generated programmatically by original software written
  by Core Systems Asset Factory, from a hand-authored palette, hand-authored motifs and
  hand-authored material rules. No diffusion or image-generation model was used in
  producing this artwork, and no third-party artwork is incorporated. The copyright
  holder therefore holds clear title to everything in this pack and is able to grant
  the licence above.

  If your storefront, publisher or platform requires a generative-AI disclosure, this
  pack is disclosed as: Graphics = generated programmatically. Sounds = none.
