Welcome to this tutorial on using the PC Flipping spreadsheet. Firstly, go to www.pcsheets.top and press the "Download Now" button. Once the spreadsheet has been downloaded, open it up and click "Enable Editing". Click the "Formulas" tab on the top of the screen and click on "Calculation Options". Select "Manual". This is done to make the spreadsheet faster during setup and we'll switch it back later. Go to the "PC Inventory" sheet and scroll all the way down. Click on an empty cell and press "F9" on your keyboard. Depending on the hardware of your computer, this may take a while. Once it's finished calculating, click the lowest cell with a serial number and drag the selection all the way up. Copy the selection and right click. Go down to "Paste Options" and click on "Values". Repeat this process for the "Combo Inventory" sheet. Now go back to the "Formulas" tab and click "Calculation Options" again. Now click on "Automatic". [PC Build creation section] Now we're going to get to the exciting part, adding a computer to the spreadsheet. Firstly, right click on the "TEMPLATE" sheet and then click on "Move or Copy". then click on "SOLD" then check the "Create a copy" box. Go back to the "PC Inventory" sheet and copy the first available serial number. Go back to the copy of the "TEMPLATE" sheet and double click it. Paste the serial number as the name of the sheet. In each corresponding cell, enter every component of the computer. We suggest only entering the model of the component like "CX450" and "2600X" because Excel's autofill algorithm will not properly pick up on you wanting to enter "AMD Ryzen 5 2600X" when you type "Ryzen 2600X". If you enter a component that is not on the "DATA" sheet, a warning will appear to inform you of a potential mistake. Ram kits will have spaces in between the amount of sticks and their capacities instead on an x. For example you will see "1 8" instead of 1 by 8. If you're using a ram kit, enter the same kit as many times as it has ram sticks to have the total amount of ram automatically calculated. Once you are done inputting every component, input the price you paid for each component. The total will be automatically transferred to the "Build Cost" cell. You can change the status cell to reflect the current status of the computer. You can name computers to make finding them in the "PC Inventory" sheet easier Once you've built, listed or sold the computer, update the appropriate fields. The "PC Inventory" sheet will automatically be updated to reflect the information in the sheets of every computer. Once a computer is sold, put it after the "SOLD" sheet to make it easier to differentiate between sold and unsold computers. [Using the PC Inventory sheet] This section will show useful tips to make finding computers on the "PC Inventory" sheet simpler and faster. To sort by components, find the type of component you want to filter by, click the arrow, deselect the "(Select all)" checkbox and enter the model of the component you want to filter by, for example "2600X" and then check the box next to the correct model. If you need to see some information in the cells that is cut off, click on any sheet on the table and press "CTRL" and "A" at the same time on your keyboard. Now hold down "ALT" and press "H" then press "W". The cells will resize to fit their contents. To go back to the cells being compact, repeat the previous steps. [Combo creation section] To create a setup, make a copy of the "COMBO TEMPLATE" sheet and rename it to the first available combo serial number as described earlier in the previous section. For the PC field, enter the serial number of the PC you want to add to the setup. The build cost of the computer will automatically be filled in the price field and the specifications will appear in the "PC Stats" table. Now fill out all the other applicable parts of the setup and how much you paid for them. The "Combo Inventory" sheet will automatically be updated to reflect the information in the sheets of every setup. Once a setup is sold, put it after the "SOLD" sheet to make it easier to differentiate between sold and unsold setups. [Parts Inventory Management] The spreadsheet comes with a sheet dedicated to managing all of your parts. Click on the "Parts Inventory" sheet. Each part type has a table that has the part type, how much you paid for the part and it's Inventory Tracking Number. Consider printing out all the ITNs as stickers and putting them on parts to help you find them quicker. Each table contains the same autofill feature as the computer and setup sheets. Consider using Excel's search feature, which is accessible by pressing "CTRL" and "F" on your keyboard to locate parts by their ITN quicker. [Updating the "DATA" sheet] If you use components that are not already on the "DATA" sheet, adding them is simple. Go to the "DATA" sheet, find the column that contains the part you want to enter and scroll down until you find the end of the current list. Now, just type in the part you want to add. If you want to add ram, make sure you add the capacity of the stick at the end as a number in gigabytes and make sure to add three spaces before the number. Look at the existing entries for an example on how it's meant to be done.
