Device Monitor — Privacy Policy

The short version: Device Monitor does not collect, transmit, or sell any of
your data. Every reading, test result and setting stays on your device.

DEVELOPER
Device Monitor is developed by Dzianis Milasheuski, an individual developer

WHAT I COLLECT
Nothing. Device Monitor has no analytics, no ads, no accounts, and no servers
that receive your data. There is no sign-up and no login. I do not know who you
are, which device you use, or what it is doing.

HOW THE APP WORKS
- Live readings (CPU load, memory, storage, network throughput, battery level
  and charging state, thermal state, uptime) come from the public system APIs
  of iOS, iPadOS and macOS and are shown on your screen in the moment. They are
  not sent anywhere.
- The specification sheet for your model (chip, cores, display, release year
  and similar values) comes from a table of Apple models that ships inside the
  app. The app may download a newer copy of that table from a public file that
  the developer publishes; this request carries no information about you or
  your device beyond a standard web request, and the file is the same for
  everyone.
- Hardware tests (screen, touch, sensors, haptics, speakers and microphone)
  run entirely on your device. The microphone is used only during the speakers
  & microphone test: a short recording is kept in memory so you can play it
  back, and it is discarded when the test ends. Nothing is saved or uploaded.
- Test results, the history used for charts and widgets, and your settings are
  stored on your device in the app's own container, which the app's widgets
  can also read. Nothing is synced to the developer.
- A test report you choose to share is created on your device and goes only
  where you send it.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
Only what you explicitly share (a specification sheet or a test report), to the
destination you pick. Nothing is sent automatically, and nothing is sent to me.

PERMISSIONS
- Microphone: used only by the speakers & microphone test, only while the test
  is open. The app never records outside that test.
- Motion: used only by the sensors test to show accelerometer, gyroscope and
  compass readings while the test is open.
- Notifications (optional): if you turn on alerts, the app schedules local
  notifications on your device when a threshold you chose is reached. No
  notification server is involved.
- Live Activities and widgets read the same on-device readings as the app.

PURCHASES
Device Monitor Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple, not the
developer, processes payment. I receive no personal or payment information.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → [Your Name] →
Subscriptions on your device.

YOUR RIGHTS
Because the app collects no personal information on the developer's side,
there is no developer-held data for you to access, correct, export, or delete.
- Data stored on your device can be removed by deleting the app, or by using
  "Clear results" inside it for test results.
- An active subscription can be cancelled in your Apple Account subscriptions.

CHILDREN
Device Monitor is a hardware utility. It is not directed at children under the
age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

REGULATORY NOTES
The app is designed so that no directly identifying personal information (name,
email, IP address, advertising identifier, account ID) is collected by the
developer or by any third party the developer uses. Where Apple acts as a
processor for purchases, those activities are governed by Apple's own privacy
policy.
