Memoria — Privacy Policy Last updated: August 27, 2026 The short version: Memoria does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. Everything you keep stays on your device, and — only if you turn it on — in your own private iCloud. Nothing is ever sent to the developer. DEVELOPER Memoria is developed by Dzianis Milasheuski, an individual developer based in Lithuania. Questions about this policy: info@porconova.com WHAT I COLLECT Nothing. Memoria has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, no feed, and no servers that receive your data. There is no sign-up and no login. There are no third-party SDKs and no trackers in the app. I do not know who you are, whom you are remembering, or that you use the app at all. The one exception is not mine to control and never contains your content: if you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics and crash reports with app developers, Apple may show me aggregated, anonymised statistics — how often the app crashed, on which iOS versions. This comes from Apple, in aggregate, and cannot be traced back to you or to anything you have kept. You can turn it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements. WHAT THE APP HOLDS Everything you put into Memoria is content you create: names, dates, written memories, photographs, films, voice recordings, and the candles you light. It is stored inside the app's private container on your device. Photographs, films and recordings are kept as files in that container; the rest is kept in a local database. None of it is indexed, counted, analysed, or shared. Small previews of photographs and films are generated on your device with Apple's own imaging frameworks and kept in the app's private cache. No image leaves the device for this. The app stores no passwords and no credentials of any kind — nothing in the Keychain, nothing anywhere else. When you switch on Face ID, the check is performed by iOS and the app is told only whether it passed. PRIVATE iCLOUD SYNC (OPTIONAL, OFF BY DEFAULT) If you turn on "Private iCloud sync" in Settings, Memoria stores a copy of your people, days, words and media files in the PRIVATE database of your own iCloud account, so your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account can show the same place. - The data goes only to your iCloud. It does not pass through any server of mine, and I have no access to it. - Apple stores it under your Apple Account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. - Turning sync off stops the copying; everything already on the device stays on the device. - Settings › "Erase the iCloud copy" removes Memoria's records and files from your iCloud without touching anything on this device. Sync also uses Apple's silent push notifications to learn that another device has changed something. These carry no content of yours; they only wake the app. PERMISSIONS THE APP MAY ASK FOR - Photos — only to let you pick a photograph or a film to keep. Memoria reads what you pick, and nothing else in your library. - Camera — only to photograph or film something at the moment you ask for it. - Microphone — only to record a voice memory while you hold the recorder open. - Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode — to keep the app closed to anyone but you. Authentication happens inside iOS; the app receives only "yes" or "no" and never sees your biometric data or your passcode. - Notifications — only for reminders you switch on yourself, for the days you have chosen. They are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. Memoria has no way to send you anything else, and no server that could. WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE Only what you explicitly export or share, to the destination you pick. "Save a copy of everything" produces a single file on your device which you may send wherever you choose; where it goes afterwards is up to you. Nothing is uploaded automatically, and nothing is ever sent to me. That file is not encrypted and it holds everything — the names, the words, the photographs, the films and the voices. Treat it exactly as you would treat the originals: anyone who opens it sees all of it. PURCHASES Memoria Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple, not the developer, processes payment. I receive no personal or payment information. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › [Your Name] › Subscriptions on your device. YOUR RIGHTS Because the app collects no personal information on the developer's side, there is no developer-held data for you to access, correct, export, or delete. - Anything kept in the app can be removed inside it, one item at a time, one person at a time, or all at once with Settings › "Delete everything". - Everything can be exported at any time with Settings › "Save a copy of everything", in a format that can be opened again by the app. - Data in your iCloud can be removed with Settings › "Erase the iCloud copy", by signing out of iCloud, or from your iCloud storage in iOS Settings. - Deleting the app removes the on-device copy. - An active subscription can be cancelled in your Apple Account subscriptions. INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE Memoria is a place to remember someone who has died, so what you keep will often concern another person. That information is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party. It lives on your device and, at your choice, in your own iCloud, and it is yours to remove at any time. CHILDREN Memoria is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children. REGULATORY NOTES The app is designed so that no directly identifying personal information (name, email, IP address, advertising identifier, account ID) is collected by the developer or by any third party the developer uses. There are no third-party SDKs, no trackers, and no data brokers. Where Apple acts as a processor for purchases and for iCloud, those activities are governed by Apple's own privacy policy. Because no personal data is collected or processed by the developer, there is no data controller obligation to transfer data internationally, and no data retention period to declare on the developer's side. What you keep in Memoria will usually be personal data about another person — someone who has died, and often other people in the photographs. It is created, stored and erased entirely by you, on your own device and in your own iCloud; the developer is neither its controller nor its processor and cannot reach it. Keeping the memory of someone close is a purely personal and household activity, which is outside the scope of the GDPR. If you were ever to use the app for something other than that — in a professional or organisational context — you, and not the developer, would be the controller of that data. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top. CONTACT Questions or concerns: info@porconova.com
