Dr. Elise P. Barnett is a board-certified dermatologist, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), and the founder of Atlanta Skin Wellness Center. She has more than 13 years of experience in general medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and surgical dermatology. A south Louisiana native, Dr. Barnett earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, where she received the Henry W. Jolly, Jr. Professor Award as an outstanding medical student in dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and served as clinical associate professor of dermatology at the UAB Health Center for more than six years.

Prior to founding Atlanta Skin Wellness Center, Dr. Barnett co-owned and operated a successful general and cosmetic dermatology practice in Montgomery, Alabama for more than seven years. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons, and the Dermatology Foundation, where she served as co-chair for the Leader's Society Campaign from 2014–2016.
