Independent app: RailFare is independently developed. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of Indian Railways, the Railway Board, IRCTC, or any government entity.

Information sources

RailFare provides reference calculations based on publicly available railway fare tables, luggage rules, statutory provisions, and commercial circulars. The app identifies its source circulars and links users to Indian Railways or zonal railway websites so the information can be verified.

Data collection and sharing

RailFare does not require an account and does not collect, sell, or share personal information. Fare inputs remain on the user’s device. Theme and language preferences are stored locally on the device.

Opening an official circular or checking for an app-data update may connect to the internet. If a user chooses to send feedback, RailFare opens the device’s email application. No message is sent unless the user approves it in that email application.

Accuracy and responsibility

RailFare assists manual railway commercial workflows and does not replace an official ticketing, charting, accounting, or decision-making system. Railway rules and fares can change. Users must verify operational decisions against the current ticket, chart, applicable Railway Board instructions, and official railway systems.

Children

RailFare does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other user.
