The upstream source this fork derives from is the v1.6.8 release source
(github.com/dickpy/dsh-imagegen, tag v1.6.8). Every file that existed
upstream is carried over unchanged except where the fork deliberately
modified it; the fork's own changes are enumerated in CHANGELOG.md.

The fork also incorporates upstream code from LATER releases, taken
selectively and re-applied by hand rather than merged (the two histories
share no common ancestor). Each such incorporation is recorded in
CHANGELOG.md under the release that carries it; for example the diagnostic
record added in this fork's v1.7.5 includes upstream's diagnostics store and
the failure-recording call sites from upstream issue #38. Upstream copyright
and the Apache-2.0 license above cover that code as well.

In all cases the fork is an independent project: it does not track upstream's
release line or version numbers, and upstream functionality is adopted only
when it is wanted.

Third-party components bundled or referenced by this project are listed
in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md, which is carried over from upstream.
