# Privacy Policy for Real Form Draft

Real Form Draft (“the extension”) is a Chrome extension that saves form draft answers **only on your device**, and only for websites you explicitly enable.

## Summary

Real Form Draft does not operate a backend and does not transmit, sell, or share draft contents. Capture is disabled everywhere until you press **Enable** for a site and grant optional host access. The extension does not use Google APIs to access browsing history or account data.

## Data stored locally

When you enable protection for a site, the extension may store locally:

- Form field values from eligible fields
- Field label hints used for matching
- Origin, normalized path, timestamps, and retention metadata
- Preferences (retention days and related settings)

Storage uses IndexedDB and `chrome.storage.local` in the extension context.

## Data never saved

- Passwords
- One-time codes / OTP
- Payment card data
- Banking identifiers
- File uploads (bytes or filenames)
- Cookies, clipboard contents, keystroke timing, or full page HTML
- Data from sites you have not enabled
- Data in Incognito windows (the extension is not allowed in Incognito)

## Permissions

- **storage** — keep drafts and preferences on this device
- **alarms** — expire old drafts
- **scripting** — run the saver only on origins you enable
- **optional host access** — requested per origin after you press Enable

## How the extension works

- Autosave runs only on enabled origins with granted host permission
- Restore never fills fields without your confirmation (Draft found → Review → Restore)
- You can delete one draft, all drafts for a site, or all local extension data
- Drafts expire by default after 7 days (configurable within plan limits)
- No remote scripts, fonts, or configuration files are fetched

Ordinary local browser storage is **not** full-disk encryption. Do not treat local drafts as encrypted-at-rest unless you use an explicit encrypted export with your own passphrase.

## Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Real Form Draft is designed to comply with the [Chrome Web Store User Data Policy](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/webstore/program-policies/user-data-faq), including Limited Use requirements. Local drafts are used only to provide draft protection and restore on origins you enable.

## Children’s privacy

Real Form Draft does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

## Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised.
