# Insty Privacy Policy

Insty operates locally inside Chromium-based browsers on Instagram pages selected by the user.

## Data processed locally

To provide its visible features, Insty:

- observes selected Instagram requests so it can prevent read receipts and story-view receipts when those controls are enabled;
- reads Instagram profile, follower, and following responses after the user clicks `Проверить подписки`;
- temporarily displays Instagram usernames, profile names, profile links, account flags, and avatars in the popup;
- stores the user's toggle settings and latest subscriptions-check state in extension-local storage.

This information remains inside the extension and the user's browser. Insty does not send Instagram information, browsing activity, extension settings, analytics, or identifiers to the developer or to a developer-controlled server. Insty does not sell or share user data.

Instagram itself continues to receive requests that the user makes while using instagram.com under Instagram's own privacy terms. Insty does not add another recipient.

## Support links

The `Поддержать` tab displays public cryptocurrency wallet addresses and a link to `https://github.com/right-git`. Copying an address is local. Opening GitHub is an intentional navigation to GitHub, whose own privacy policy applies. No Instagram or extension data is attached to that link.

## Retention and deletion

Settings and the latest check state remain in extension-local storage until they are replaced, cleared through the browser, or the extension is removed. Insty has no server-side copy to retain or delete.

## Permissions

- `storage` keeps settings and the latest visible check state locally.
- `tabs` finds and reloads the active Instagram tab after a privacy control changes and starts a user-requested subscriptions check in that tab.
- Instagram host access confines the content scripts to `instagram.com`, `www.instagram.com`, and `m.instagram.com`.
