# VoiceWave Phase V Readiness Date: 2026-02-11 Scope: Windows-first beta preparation ## Purpose Prepare for Phase V (`Beta Program and Feedback Loop`) with the operational documents and quality-review structure needed to tune transcript quality, latency, and insertion reliability. ## Current Readiness Summary 1. Phase V scaffolding is now present (runbook + templates). 2. Phase V execution depends on Phase IV hardening outputs and remaining pre-release blockers. 3. This readiness state means planning and instrumentation work can start, but beta-quality claims are not yet ready. ## Phase V Start Checklist 1. Run Phase IV readiness check: - `npm run phase4:prep` 2. Beta ops documents exist and are assigned: - `docs/phase5/beta-ops-runbook.md` - `docs/phase5/reliability-review-template.md` - `docs/phase5/compatibility-matrix-template.md` - `docs/phase5/usability-study-template.md` 3. Reliability review cadence is active: - Weekly review includes insertion success, correction rate, crash-free rate, and latency trends. 4. Manual workflow acceptance results are recorded before opening broader beta. ## Automation 1. Readiness report (non-blocking): - `npm run phase5:prep` 2. Gate mode (blocking): - `npm run phase5:gate` 3. Reliability evidence report (non-blocking): - `npm run phase5:reliability` 4. Reliability evidence gate (blocking): - `npm run phase5:reliability:gate` 5. End-to-end release gate (blocking): - `npm run release:gate` ## Gate Behavior Notes 1. In `-Enforce` mode, Phase 5 readiness now requires a passing Phase 4 validation dependency (no `-SkipValidation` bypass). 2. Freshness enforcement is available via `-RequireFreshArtifacts` and defaults to enabled in enforce mode. 3. Reliability thresholds are centralized in `docs/testing/release-thresholds-windows.json`. ## Notes 1. Phase V is where this plan expects transcript quality tuning loops to accelerate (`Idea.md` Phase 5 goals). 2. Phase V readiness does not bypass unresolved Phase IV security/release gates.
