# Options Reference

Options are passed to `Jsonic.make()` to create a configured parser instance.
All fields are optional -- unset fields use defaults.

const j = Jsonic.make({
  comment: { lex: false },

## `fixed`

Controls recognition of fixed structural tokens (`{`, `}`, `[`, `]`, `:`, `,`).

## `space`

Controls whitespace handling.

## `line`

Controls line ending handling.

## `text`

Controls unquoted text lexing.

## `number`

Controls numeric literal parsing.

## `comment`

Controls comment handling.

Each definition has:

## `string`

Controls quoted string parsing.

## `map`

Controls object/map behavior.

## `list`

Controls array/list behavior.

## `value`

Controls keyword recognition.

## `match`

Controls custom matcher tokens and values.

## `rule`

Controls parser rule behavior.

## `lex`

Controls global lexer behavior.

## `safe`

Controls security features.

## `error`

Custom error message templates, keyed by error code.

## `hint`

Additional explanatory text per error code, appended to error messages.

## `debug`

Controls debug output.
