Misenheimer Community Playschool
- Has been in existence since 1958.
- Offers school readiness programs for three and four year olds.
- Three year olds attend 9am - 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays; Four year olds attend 9am - 12pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Provides a 1 to 6 (or less) adult to child ratio.
- Teacher has a Master’s degree in Child and Family relations and years of experience working with children.
- Class waiting lists are maintained for three years out.
- The school follows the Stanly County School schedule for workdays, holidays and vacations.
- Classes start the Tuesday after Labor Day and run thru late May.
- Parents pay an annual registration/supply fee plus $100.00 a month for three your olds; $125.00 a month for four year olds.Parents also provide healthy snacks on a rotating basis and donate cleaning supplies if able.
- Children must be three by Dec. 31st of a given school year and potty trained to be enrolled. Children may attend three years if their parent so desires.
- The Playschool strives to serve as a sounding board for children’s growing spirituality while helping them to become socially healthy, mentally alert and physically active.
