# Funding *Hoard is built by one dev. No investors, no ads, no data selling. Every € goes to keeping it running and improving.* ## Infrastructure costs (per user/month) | Service | Free tier user | Pro user (100 GB) | |---------|----------------|-------------------| | **Supabase** (DB + auth + realtime) | ~$0.10 | ~$0.10 | | **Fly,io** (server hosting) | ~$0.05 | ~$0.05 | | **Cloudflare R2** (storage) | **$0.03** | **$1.50** | | **Total/user** | **~$0.18** | **~$1.65** | > Supabase/Fly.io are estimates — they charge by usage (requests, CPU, bandwidth), not per user. Cloudflare R2 is the only predictable cost, thats mean if you play alot, im need pay more infraestructure. Pro subscriptions (1.99 €/month) are meant to cover their own costs and **subsidize free tier** users. Right now there are no Pro users, so the free tier runs at a loss. Stripe fee: ~0.5 € per Pro subscription. A Pro user can consume up to ~$1.65 in infrastructure — the margin is thin by design. ## Monthly baseline (fixed) - **Domain / SSL / misc**: ~$4.5 - **Server baseline** (idle Fly,io VM): ~$5–10 - **Development** (tooling, CI, dependencies, testing infra): ~$25 **Total fixed: ~$30–45/month** ## What your sponsorship covers - Server infrastructure (sync, auth, storage) - Development time (features, fixes, support) - Keeping the free tier alive with 2GB at the moment. --- # ❤️ Support Hoard Hoard is free and open-source.
