For many ADA holders, delegators, DReps, and DeFi participants, Eternl serves as a primary gateway to staking, governance, payments, and decentralized applications. Maintaining reliable wallet infrastructure is just as important as funding protocol upgrades, because users ultimately interact with Cardano through tools like Eternl.\\n\\nI appreciate that this proposal is focused on sustainability rather than indefinite dependence. The team is introducing paid subscription plans, establishing a path toward self-sufficiency, committing to transparency around revenue, and outlining mechanisms to repay treasury funds if adoption meets expectations. The request is designed to bridge operations while that transition occurs, helping preserve a wallet that supports governance participation, hardware wallet integrations, DApp connectivity, and ongoing protocol upgrades.\\n\\nI recognize concerns surrounding treasury funding for products that are not fully open source and the fact that Eternl has previously received ecosystem funding. However, I believe the wallet's demonstrated adoption, broad ecosystem integration, governance tooling, and long track record of reliability justify continued support during this transition period. Cardano benefits from having strong, independent wallet providers, and maintaining that diversity strengthens the resilience of the ecosystem as a whole."
