# Privacy Policy

**HN Comment Links** values your privacy.  

- **No data collection**: This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or browsing information.  
- **Local processing only**: All functionality—extracting hyperlinks from Hacker News comment sections and displaying them in the popup—happens entirely within your browser.  
- **Permissions use**:  
  - `activeTab` and `host permission` are used only to temporarily access the current Hacker News discussion page when you click the extension.  
  - `tabs` is used solely to check the current tab’s URL to enable/disable the extension and update the badge count.  
  - `clipboardWrite` is used only when you explicitly copy extracted links.  

The extension does not communicate with any external servers, and no information leaves your device.
