# Recruiter Shortcuts Privacy Policy Effective date: October 8, 2026 Recruiter Shortcuts is a browser extension developed by Robert Masse that provides keyboard shortcuts and connection-invitation management for LinkedIn Recruiter. This policy describes how the extension handles information. Recruiter Shortcuts is independent of, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by, LinkedIn. ## Information the extension handles The extension accesses information on LinkedIn pages needed for its features, including profile names, profile URLs, profile-picture URLs, connection degree, invitation status, and invitation age labels. It stores the following information: - Invitation records: profile names, profile URLs, optional picture URLs, and sent dates. Dates imported from LinkedIn may be estimates based on relative age labels. - Withdrawal records: identifying profile information, withdrawal dates, and estimated waiting periods before another invitation can be sent. - Message templates and preferences: optional invitation-note templates, shortcut settings, and withdrawal-age preferences. - Operation information: refresh checkpoints, progress, temporary profile identifiers, interrupted-operation recovery information, and error details needed to display status and prevent duplicate actions. The extension processes shortcut-key events to perform the selected actions. It does not retain a keystroke log, create activity analytics, or maintain a general browsing-history list. It does not collect passwords, authentication cookies, payment details, or device-location data. ## How information is used Information is used only to provide the extension's features: candidate navigation, profile actions, invitation sending and verification, pending-invitation tracking, importing and refreshing records, invitation withdrawal, and operation recovery. The extension automatically attempts to import existing sent invitations on first installation. Later refreshes and full imports can be started from the extension. Reading eligible profiles on LinkedIn Recruiter can update matching invitation records. ## Storage and external services Invitation records, withdrawal history, refresh information, and recovery records are stored in the extension's local Chrome storage. Temporary status and failure information is stored in Chrome's session storage. Message templates and preferences use Chrome's storage.sync service. When Chrome Sync is enabled, Chrome may synchronize these settings through Google and across your signed-in Chrome browsers. When synchronization is disabled, Chrome stores this information locally. The extension interacts with LinkedIn to perform its features. Invitation notes are submitted to LinkedIn when a connection request is sent. Profile pictures displayed by the extension are loaded from LinkedIn's image services. These interactions are subject to LinkedIn's policies, and Chrome Sync is subject to Google's policies. The extension does not automatically send invitation records, templates, or diagnostic information to a server operated by the developer. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking service. ## Sharing and limited use The developer does not sell extension data or use it for advertising, unrelated profiling, creditworthiness, or lending decisions. Information is used or transferred only as necessary for the extension's disclosed functionality, such as submitting invitation notes to LinkedIn and synchronizing settings through Chrome. Recruiter Shortcuts limits its use of information obtained through the extension to its stated features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. ## Retention and your controls Local invitation records remain until the extension removes or updates them through its features, or the extension's local data is deleted. Viewing an exact-URL-matched profile as a first-degree connection removes its pending record. Confirmed extension withdrawals replace pending records with withdrawal history. Records absent from LinkedIn's Sent list are not automatically deleted because their outcome cannot be reliably determined. Withdrawal records are not automatically deleted when the waiting period expires. You can view tracked pending invitations and change templates and preferences in Settings. Disabling shortcuts prevents shortcut actions but does not delete invitation records. Uninstalling the extension removes its local Chrome storage. Chrome-synchronized information is managed through Chrome and your Google account's synchronization controls. Removing the extension or its records does not withdraw invitations or delete information already submitted to LinkedIn. ## Support If you contact support, the developer receives your email address and any information you choose to include. This information is used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the extension. Please avoid sending passwords, private candidate information, or invitation records that are not necessary for your request. ## Changes to this policy This policy may be updated when the extension's features or data practices change. The effective date above will identify the current version. Any materially different data use will be disclosed before it is introduced. ## Contact For privacy questions, contact Robert Masse at [robert@rm-consultant.co](mailto:robert@rm-consultant.co).
