Overview

Elapsed is a Chrome extension that displays a floating elapsed-time overlay on web pages. It is designed to be used during screen recordings, presentations, and live demos.

Data Collection

Elapsed does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

• No browsing history is collected or tracked.
• No user data is sent to any server or third party.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reports are collected.
• No cookies are set by the extension.

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) solely to persist your timer settings (style, accent color, size, and position). This data never leaves your browser.

Permissions

• Storage — to save your timer preferences locally.
• Scripting — to inject the timer overlay into the active tab.
• Host permissions (all URLs) — to display the timer on any webpage you choose.

These permissions are used exclusively to provide the timer functionality and for no other purpose.
