Privacy Policy for Bubble Level

Bubble Level ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you download, install, and use the Bubble Level mobile application (com.precision.bubblelevel).

1. Information Collection and Use
Bubble Level is designed as a standalone offline utility tool. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), location data, or usage metrics.

A. Device Sensors & Hardware Permissions
The application accesses specific device hardware features strictly for real-time local calculations:

Motion Sensors (Sensor.TYPE_ROTATION_VECTOR, Sensor.TYPE_ACCELEROMETER, Sensor.TYPE_MAGNETIC_FIELD): Used exclusively on your device to calculate pitch, roll, slope, and inclination angles. Sensor data is processed in real-time memory and is never recorded, saved, or uploaded.
Vibration Motor (android.permission.VIBRATE): Used locally to provide tactile haptic vibration pulses when exact levelling is achieved.
Audio Output: Used locally on device to synthesize an acoustic beep tone for eyes-free levelling. No audio recording or microphone access is performed.
B. Local Preferences Storage
The application stores minor user configuration preferences locally on your device via Android SharedPreferences:

Zero-tare calibration angle offsets.
Precision tolerance settings ($\pm0.1^\circ$ to $\pm1.0^\circ$).
Sensor smoothing damping preferences.
Sound and vibration enable/disable toggles.
This data remains strictly on your local device and is removed if you uninstall the application.

2. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
Bubble Level does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

No Data Transmitted: We do not send any data to external servers.
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties.
3. Children's Privacy
Our application does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Bubble Level fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Security
Because Bubble Level operates entirely offline and does not collect or transmit user data over the internet, your information remains inherently private and secure on your physical device.
