# Orbit Store (Beta) > A modern PS5 download manager with resumable downloads, a native TV app, browser controls and the Orbit Zero desktop companion. The official project is https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5. Orbit Store has no official social media accounts. It is free to use and does not accept donations or payments. The current release is Orbit Store 1.3.5, with native TV app 1.7.0 and Orbit Zero 1.3.5. Use matching files from the same release; the native app and download service have separate version numbers. ## PS4 and PS5 games Orbit 1.3.5 supports a catalogue of 1,598 games: 998 PS5 games and 600 PS4 games, with 3,825 single-file download options from Archive.org, Vikingfile and AkiraBox. Formats include FFPFSC, exFAT, PKG, FPKG, ZIP, RAR and 7z. Sources are opt-in; available formats depend on the game. Supported archives extract automatically on the selected PS5 drive, or on the computer before Orbit Zero transfers the extracted files. Compressed size and extracted space requirements differ. Known source passwords are tried automatically; custom-password retries reuse the downloaded archive. PS4 support starts with service/browser version 1.1.0, native app 1.4.0 and Orbit Zero 1.1.0; these are minimum versions, not the current release. Browse has a Platform filter for PS4, PS5 or All platforms. PS4 CUSA and PS5 PPSA editions remain separate, with their own metadata and download choices. PS4 options are single-file .pkg packages, labelled PKG or FPKG. Saving one does not install it; users need the package installation method supported by their PS5 setup. A platform label does not imply a frame-rate patch, DLC or universal compatibility. Orbit's ELF and TV app run on PS5, not PS4 consoles. Discover opens first. Store presents New on Orbit before Latest releases and an All games grid; Crossbar, Cinema and Panorama arrange these collections differently. Curated highlights lead New on Orbit, followed by recent catalogue additions ordered by release date. Discover’s All games, Browse and Library load more items as you scroll. Browse supports platform, source, format, region and size filters, search, sorting and shared favourites. In native Browse and Discover, Square toggles Favourite in Store; Triangle does so in Crossbar, Cinema and Panorama. Controller shortcuts and section navigation depend on the interface. New games and metadata corrections arrive through catalogue updates. App settings → Game catalogue → Refresh catalogue checks manually. The last available catalogue is cached for offline browsing, and existing downloads keep their chosen file identity. Earlier supported clients keep a PS5-compatible feed; refreshing their catalogue alone does not add PS4 support. Store is the default interface. Appearance also offers Crossbar, Cinema and Panorama across the native app, browser and Orbit Zero. Select Keep within the 15-second confirmation to save a choice; Switch back or the timeout restores the previous interface. Preferences are separate for each app/browser and do not change the queue, favourites or download settings. All interfaces offer Full or Reduced motion. Crossbar has time-of-day ribbon backgrounds, Cinema has blurred art or plain black behind menus, and Panorama has four accent colours and faint art or plain black behind pages. The browser’s Store layout uses App settings; the other layouts use a Settings page. Sources becomes Download sources, Storage becomes Storage and downloads, Update / reinstall becomes Updates, and Debrid becomes TorBox. Native App settings is labelled Settings in the other layouts and retains its sections. Zero’s Store layout has top-bar Appearance, Language and Updates controls; its other layouts put these under Settings alongside Download settings and Computer cache. ## Install and use Orbit Store Orbit requires a PS5 environment capable of running homebrew ELF payloads. Firmware, loader and ShadowMount compatibility vary. Run orbit_store.elf through a payload manager or ELF loader, then open the Orbit Store browser shortcut in the Media tab. The native PPSA99177.ffpkg goes in /data/homebrew/ and opens from the Games row using kstuff and ShadowMountPlus. This native app package is separate from downloaded game packages. The native app bundles Orbit's service. A compatible ELF loader on port 9021 lets it start the service. Uploading or installing a new copy does not replace an already-running session. App settings → Updates has separate TV app and download-service controls; the browser version uses Update / reinstall and TV app. Stop only Orbit before launching its replacement, then check the running version. Pairing and the queue stay saved. Phone and computer browser controls use http://:34177/ on the local network. Pair devices displays the console's six-digit code; Show code on PS5 repeats the notification. Keep codes private and the service on a trusted local network. Enable the providers you want in Sources settings and save your selection, including AkiraBox when updating from an earlier release. Choose a game, source and drive in Download options. Direct downloads run on PS5. Provider pages open on PS5 while preserving the selected game, source and destination. For both Vikingfile and AkiraBox on the matching 1.3.5 PS5 apps, complete verification and wait without pressing Download. Orbit captures the ready link and returns to the browser or native app automatically. A paired phone controls this flow but does not host the provider browser. Orbit validates the selected file before queueing it. Archive.org sign-in is available in native/browser App settings → Archive.org and Orbit Zero’s Download settings. The PS5 apps share the console session; Zero keeps a separate session on the computer. Passwords are not saved. Sign-in can unlock account-required files, but cannot restore removed files. Release 1.3.5 removes 225 unavailable Archive.org options. Optional TorBox delivery is configured in browser App settings → Debrid with the user's own API key. Orbit Zero 1.3.5 also supports computer-side TorBox in Download settings; its account is separate from the console account. Supported hosts, account plans, quotas and file-size limits apply. Original-provider downloads remain available. A TorBox job is never silently changed to direct delivery. Downloads supports pause, resume, cancellation, retry and queue ordering. Finished contains completed downloads; cancelled items have their own view. Completed files remain when removing history. Delete download can remove a cancelled job and its partial file after confirmation. Keep the PS5 awake during downloads; rest-mode downloading is not supported. Completed downloads handled by Orbit Store show their saved file or extracted folder path under Downloads → Finished → Location in both the browser and native app. This records the save location, not a fresh check that the file exists or is installed. Orbit Zero download details show the full PS5 destination path and the computer path while a cached copy remains. Both routes save to the selected PS5 drive's homebrew folder. Library reads installed games and drive sources from a compatible ShadowMount v1 local API. Refresh reads inventory; Scan for games asks the provider to discover sources. Mount/unmount and copy/move depend on provider and format support. A completed file is not necessarily installed or launchable. Orbit does not launch or uninstall games. ## Orbit Zero for desktop Orbit Zero supports macOS, Windows and Linux on ARM64 and x64. For uncompressed files, a computer downloads and transfers completed chunks to PS5 over the local network, using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Archives finish downloading and extracting on the computer before their files transfer. The PS5 does not need internet for this route; the computer needs provider access for new downloads. The console's jailbreak and Payload Manager or ELF loader must already be running. Console → Start Orbit on PS5 can upload the compatible receiver ELF, then connect for pairing. Zero reconnects to the saved console when reopened. Computer is the default download route; Prefer PS5 checks whether the console can reach the source. Native App settings → Orbit Zero enables computer queue controls on PS5. Downloads shows computer download and PS5 transfer progress separately. PS4 packages use these same controls. Vikingfile opens in a separate computer browser window for Zero downloads. Users complete verification and select Download themselves. Unwanted popups are blocked; Back, Reload and Return to download page restore navigation. Provider sessions persist separately from the main application. AkiraBox users complete verification and wait without pressing Download: Orbit captures the ready link. The PS5 browser returns to Orbit automatically after queueing; the matching native app closes its provider window automatically, and Zero closes its provider window. Download settings contains the simultaneous computer-download limit, computer folder preference and optional cache cleanup. One game downloads at a time by default; users can choose 1–8 in Orbit Store or Orbit Zero. One file transfers to PS5 at a time while computer downloads continue. Automatic cleanup is off by default and removes completed computer copies only after a confirmed PS5 transfer. Clear completed cache removes completed copies while retaining PS5 files and unfinished downloads. The computer's credential store protects saved pairing. Delete archives after extracting is separate from completed-cache cleanup and is on by default. It is in Orbit Store's App settings → Storage and Zero's Downloads → Download settings. It removes the archive after successful extraction, retaining it on extraction errors for retry. Zero's extracted files follow the Computer cache preference, whose automatic removal is off by default. Both the archive and extracted files need space until extraction succeeds. After a disconnection, reconnect the original PS5 and destination, keep partial files, and choose Resume. If its IP address changed, update Console → Connection settings; Zero verifies the saved pairing. If pairing was reset, Pair again and keep downloads requires confirmation and a fresh PS5 code. Resume then checks the PS5 partial; Restart PS5 transfer can reuse the saved computer copy when offered. Cancel and remove partials discards unfinished files after confirmation. Stop transfer keeps remaining files and frees the queue after the receiver confirms the stop, but that transfer cannot resume afterward. For an existing receiver transfer, reconnect the console before cancelling or stopping; failed confirmation leaves the operation available to retry. Orbit Zero retries temporary computer-download failures with fewer connections; deliberate pauses, changed files, access restrictions and disk failures are not retried indefinitely. Remove from Downloads stops the job and removes its entry without deleting files. Recover downloads → Review PS5 transfer can release an orphaned blocking transfer after confirmation. Recover downloads also restores a completed .cache file with its original name and folder: review the matching download and destination, add to queue, then Resume. Size alone does not prove an older cache is complete, and an already-deleted cache cannot be recovered. Updates checks for new desktop versions automatically, downloads the matching OS/architecture package, verifies its SHA-256 digest and opens it only when requested. Zero never replaces or restarts itself automatically. Mac packages are Developer ID signed but not notarized; Windows and Linux packages are unsigned. Use the installation guide for permissions and package choices. ## Languages and support Orbit Store and Orbit Zero support English, German, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Turkish. Native Orbit follows the PS5 language. Browser App settings → Language sets the device preference. Zero's globe-shaped Language control in Store, or Settings → Language in the other layouts, chooses a language or follows System language. Game metadata and provider pages may retain their original language. Diagnostics are available locally in browser App settings. Reports exclude pairing codes, access tokens, download links, game names and paths, and are not sent automatically. Bug reports should identify the app and version, game platform/title ID, source, format, destination and failing stage. Display or navigation reports should also name the interface and input method. Payload-manager integration and automatic startup are opt-in. Orbit leaves the manager's global Autoload switch unchanged. Keep the console awake during transfers. Physical-console compatibility and game installation depend on the user's setup. Orbit Store is GPL-3.0-or-later. Releases provide the complete source corresponding to the PS5 service and native app, copyleft dependency sources, licence notices and rebuild instructions. Desktop packages include their dependency notices. Use third-party content only when entitled to obtain and use it; Orbit is independent of Sony, publishers and download providers. ## Documentation - [Project overview](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/README.md): Features, current screenshots, setup, controls and beta limits. - [Orbit Zero guide](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/orbit-zero.md): Desktop browsing, console connection, download routes, transfers and cache cleanup. - [Orbit Zero installation](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/orbit-zero-installation.md): Mac, Windows and Linux installation, permissions and pairing. - [PS5 without internet](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/orbit-zero-offline-ps5.md): Start Orbit and download through the computer on a local network. - [Getting started](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/getting-started.md): Choose desktop or PS5 setup, install Orbit, use Payload Manager, update and pair a phone. - [Downloads](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/downloads.md): Browse, sources, formats, Vikingfile and AkiraBox steps, archive extraction, saved locations, storage and queue controls. - [Appearance](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/appearance.md): Store, Crossbar, Cinema and Panorama previews, switching, confirmation, saved preferences, motion, backgrounds and navigation. - [Library](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/library.md): Inventory labels and compatible ShadowMount actions. - [Troubleshooting](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/guides/troubleshooting.md): Startup, updates, providers, storage, artwork and diagnostics. - [Official project](https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5): Public repository and project updates. ## Downloads - [Current release](https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/releases/latest): Version, changelog, installation instructions, source archives and licence bundle. - [Current ELF](https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/releases/latest/download/orbit_store.elf): The Orbit application payload. - [Native TV app](https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/releases/latest/download/PPSA99177.ffpkg): The Games-row app, including the Orbit service. - [TV app SHA-256 checksum](https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/releases/latest/download/PPSA99177.ffpkg.sha256): Verify the FFPKG before installing. - [ELF SHA-256 checksum](https://github.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/releases/latest/download/orbit_store.elf.sha256): Verify the downloaded payload before loading it. - [Payload Manager feed](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/saawant12/orbit-store-ps5/main/payloads.json): Add this URL in Payload Manager under Settings, Manage Sources, Add Source.
