- **On-Demand Processing**: We only access the content of the active tab when you explicitly click the "Summarize Now" button.
- **No Personal Data**: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or IP addresses.

## 2. Use of Information
The text content extracted from the webpage is used solely to generate a summary. This data is processed via our backend API and is not used for training models or marketing purposes.

## 3. Data Storage
We do not store the content of the pages you summarize or the generated summaries on our servers. All processing is transient.

## 4. Third-Party Services
Briefly AI uses AI models to generate summaries. While the text is sent to these models for processing, it is done so under strict privacy terms that prevent the data from being used for other purposes.

- `activeTab`: Required to read the content of the page you wish to summarize.
- `scripting`: Required to execute the extraction logic on the webpage.
- `storage`: Required to save your user preferences locally.
