# Off the Record — Privacy Policy

**Off the Record does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data.**

- The list of sites you configure is stored using your browser's built-in extension
  storage (`storage.sync`) and never leaves your browser, other than your browser's
  own optional account sync.
- The extension reads visited URLs solely to compare them against your list and
  delete matching entries from your local browser history. URLs are never logged,
  retained, or sent anywhere.
- The extension makes no network requests, includes no analytics, no telemetry,
  and no third-party code.
- There is no server. There is nothing to breach.

If this policy ever changes, the change will be listed in the version notes of the
extension update and in this repository's commit history.
