I'm trying [Mozilla](http://www.mozilla.org). It has [native SOAP support](http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/javascript/synd/2002/08/30/mozillasoapapi.html). So I can make a web page that has dynamic Google searches (and Amazon booklists, etc) without a web-server.
