Privacy Policy Effective date: August 27, 2026 Introduction This privacy policy explains what information Packly collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. Packly is a free app for creating packing checklists for your trips. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as-is. If you choose to use Packly, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers named below, who process it only to help us run the app. Information We Collect From your sign-in provider. When you create an account, Packly receives your name, email address, and profile picture: Google Sign-In — Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us. We never see or receive your Google password. Email and password — you provide your name, email address, and password directly. Your password is handled entirely by our authentication provider (Supabase) and is never visible to us in readable form. Content you create. Packly stores the packing lists and items you add: list titles, destinations, travel dates, item names, quantities, categories, and packed/unpacked status. This is the core data the app needs to function, and it is created entirely by you — Packly does not generate or infer any of it. That's the complete list. Packly does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, browsing history, or any information beyond what's described above. A trip's "destination" is free text you type (e.g. "Reykjavik") — the app never reads your device's actual location. How Your Information Is Used Your account information and content are used solely to provide the Service: signing you in, syncing your lists across your devices, and displaying your data back to you. We do not use your information for advertising, and Packly does not show ads. Where Your Data Lives Your lists and items are stored in two places: On your device, in a local database, so the app works without a connection. In our database, hosted by Supabase (https://supabase.com), which syncs your data across your devices when you're online. Access to your data in our database is enforced at the row level: your account can only ever read or write your own lists and items, never anyone else's. Service Providers Packly uses a small number of third-party services to operate, and each sees only what it needs to do its job: Supabase (supabase.com/privacy) handles authentication and database hosting, and receives your account info, lists, and items. Google Sign-In (policies.google.com/privacy) is an optional sign-in method. If you choose it, Google shares your name, email, and profile picture with us. Sentry (sentry.io/privacy) provides crash and error reporting. It receives technical crash reports, which may include your device's IP address and device information — never the contents of your lists. We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or any service that profiles you across other apps or websites. Cookies Packly is a native mobile app and does not use browser cookies. Our sign-in provider (Supabase) may use short-lived session tokens to keep you signed in, which function similarly to a cookie but stay on your device rather than being shared with third parties. Device Information Only when the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, our crash-reporting service (Sentry) automatically receives basic technical information — such as device model, operating system version, and IP address — to help us diagnose and fix the problem. This information is never linked to the content of your packing lists. Data Retention and Deletion Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data — your profile, every list, and every item, permanently and without a way to undo it — in either of these ways: In the app: Settings → Delete Account. By email: contact us at the address below, and we will delete your account and data on your behalf. Security We take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit and enforcing per-account access control on everything we store. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Children's Privacy Packly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we've inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the address below. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and continued use of Packly after a change means you accept the updated policy.
