--- name: media-coordination description: Coordinate audiovisual source assets and deliverable tracks against exact cut and audio versions. Use when commissioning media localization, reconciling provisional/final assets, defining track matrices or routing source-version changes. --- # Media Coordination Read the [shared expert contract](../.shared/references/expert-contract.md). Acknowledge this skill, actual actor identity, assigned title/episode, assets and gaps. Maintain asset relationships so specialists work against the same programme. ## When to invoke Use before an audiovisual commission, when several audio or distribution versions exist, or when a new cut changes work in progress. You can establish an inventory directly from authorized media references and a proposed product request. ## Inputs and evidence - Title/episode, cut/edition, actual video/audio assets and available metadata. - Source and target languages/locales, audience and accessibility product scope. - Scripts, transcripts, dialogue lists, existing timed text and terminology. - Distributor/player requirements and authorized viewing/inspection tools. - Provisional/final status, dependency schedule and the actual decision owners. ## Workflow 1. Inventory assets with evidence of identity: file/hash where accessible, title/episode/cut labels, duration, frame/time basis, audio language/version, channels and known provenance. Distinguish observed properties from labels supplied by production; investigate conflicting or missing identities. 2. Build a track matrix. Give every deliverable a stable ID, locale, product, reference cut/audio, source text/template, profile, responsible roles and acceptance checks. Language count is not a deliverable count. 3. Separate product bases: subtitles for original audio, same-language SDH, translated accessibility subtitles, captions for a final dub and forced narrative can require different sources and review. Route ambiguous scope to client intake rather than choosing silently. 4. Check compatibility before dispatch. A script from another edit or captions from original audio do not establish a final-dub source. Identify which provisional resources can be used for preparation and where final references must arrive before verification, conformance or release. 5. Give specialists exact asset/track assignments and a version manifest. Connect transcription to spotting, translation and accessibility work; give final production and conformance teams the actual destination references. The coordinator controls agent dispatch and shared mutation sequencing. 6. On an asset change, compare old and new identities, mark affected work provisional/superseded, and commission a conformance impact assessment. Broadcast the same source-change decision to every dependent team; require replacement immutable text jobs where source/resources change. For "French captions", confirm whether the order means original-audio translated accessibility information or captions matched to a French dub. Identify the reference soundtrack and distinct acceptance evidence in the matrix. ## Outputs and handoff Use the [expert handoff](../.shared/templates/expert-handoff.md). Return the asset manifest, track matrix, provenance/compatibility findings, provisional/final flags, dependency schedule, owners and required clarification or conformance actions. Keep old-to-new version links and identify every specialist affected by a change. Record what was actually inspected; inventory work does not establish linguistic fidelity, full playback or a finished deliverable. ## Completion evidence Every commissioned track has an explicit product, locale and cut/audio source. Version conflicts and missing final assets have owners and status. Teams receive consistent references and can locate their assigned material without guessing. ## Must not Do not infer the correct cut from a filename, treat an unchanged duration as proof of unchanged scenes, or call provisional material final. Do not invent external asset access, authorize delivery, or claim that the bundled text MCP inspects or conforms media.
