OpenPhone uses a mixed-license model because this repository may contain
OpenPhone-owned materials together with patch files, references, build
integration, and documentation related to Android, LineageOS, Linux, device
trees, vendor extraction flows, and other third-party projects.

1. OpenPhone-Owned Materials

OpenPhone-owned materials are proprietary and source-available. They are made
available for non-commercial use only under the PolyForm Noncommercial License
1.0.0. See docs/legal/LICENSE.noncommercial.

Commercial use of OpenPhone-owned materials requires a separate written
commercial license from Dafdef, inc. See docs/legal/COMMERCIAL.md.

2. Upstream And Third-Party Materials

OpenPhone does not relicense materials it did not create. Upstream and
third-party materials keep their original licenses. Apache, BSD, MIT, GPL,
proprietary vendor blob, and other notices must be preserved according to the
relevant upstream license.

3. GPL-Covered Materials

GPL-covered code and modifications remain subject to the GPL. OpenPhone does
not add non-commercial restrictions to GPL-covered code.

4. File-Specific Overrides

If a file contains a different license notice, that file-specific notice
controls for that file.

5. Contributions

All contributions are governed by .github/CONTRIBUTING.md. By submitting a
contribution, you agree to the contributor terms in that file. If there is a
conflict between this license and .github/CONTRIBUTING.md for a contribution
you submit, .github/CONTRIBUTING.md controls for that contribution.
