This Privacy Policy describes how Thunder Quote ("the App", "we", "our") handles
information when you use our Android application.

1. OVERVIEW

Thunder Quote is a quote discovery app that displays daily quotes, allows you to
save favourites, and can send you a daily notification with a new quote.

We are committed to your privacy. Thunder Quote does not collect, store, or share
any personally identifiable information.

2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do not collect:

  - Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact details
  - Account or login information (the App has no accounts)
  - Location data
  - Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  - Browsing history or usage analytics
  - Financial or payment information

3. DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

All data the App stores stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted
to us:

  a) Quotes database
     The App fetches quotes from a remote quotes API and caches them in a local
     database (Room/SQLite) on your device. This data consists solely of quote
     text and author names — no personal information.

  b) Favourite quotes
     Quotes you mark as favourites are saved in the same local database. This
     data never leaves your device.

  c) Notification preference
     Your choice to enable or disable the daily notification is stored locally
     on your device via Android WorkManager. This preference is not synced or
     shared.

4. INTERNET ACCESS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The App uses an internet connection to fetch quotes from a third-party quotes
API. The requests sent contain no personal information — they are standard
HTTP requests for quote data. We do not operate this API and are not responsible
for its privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the API provider's own privacy
policy.

No other network requests are made by the App.

5. NOTIFICATIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you grant the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission, the App can send you a daily
notification containing a quote. You can:

  - Disable notifications at any time from the Settings screen within the App
  - Revoke the notification permission from your device's system settings
    (Settings → Apps → Thunder Quote → Notifications)

Notification delivery is handled entirely on-device via Android WorkManager.
No notification data is routed through our servers.

6. PERMISSIONS USED
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  INTERNET
    Required to fetch quotes from the remote API.

  POST_NOTIFICATIONS  (Android 13 / API 33 and above)
    Required to display the optional daily quote notification. You are asked
    for this permission explicitly within the App and can deny or revoke it at
    any time.

No other permissions are requested.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App fetches quote content from a remote API. Beyond this API call, the App
does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash
reporting, or tracking.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thunder Quote does not knowingly collect any information from children under the
age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The
App contains no user accounts and collects no personal data from any user of any
age.

9. DATA SECURITY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal data
at risk. Data stored on your device (quotes cache, favourites) is protected by
your device's own security mechanisms (e.g. app sandboxing, device encryption).

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be
reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and, where
appropriate, notified within the App. Continued use of the App after changes
are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
