The system is suitable for software, operations, production, equipment, and process incidents. It does not replace incident command or a qualified safety/security investigator. ## Evidence rules 1. Preserve raw evidence and its hash. Normalization creates a derivative record. 2. Keep `event_time`, `observed_at`, and `ingested_at` separate. 3. Record clock source, timezone, and estimated skew. 4. Corrections append; they never erase the original event. 5. Human statements are attributed observations, not automatically verified facts. 6. AI summaries and hypotheses are new entities linked to the evidence used. 7. Each action must name the failure mechanism it addresses and a verification signal.
