Map in a Box versions 2026.7.0 and later are licensed under GNU GPL version 3
or later. Versions through 1.0.0.34 remain under the MIT License distributed
with those releases. Third-party software and data retain their own licences.
Inclusion here does not imply endorsement by their authors or providers.

  from the SimpleMaps Basic World Cities Database and the GeoNames cities1000
  gazetteer extract. Both sources are licensed under Creative Commons
  Attribution 4.0 International.

Online services
---------------

Google, HERE, Mistral, OpenRouteService, OpenSky, AviationStack, Wikipedia,
Mapillary, Priceline, Tripadvisor, Serper, RapidAPI, Virgin Australia, and
other linked services are governed by their own terms. They are not relicensed
under the Map in a Box project licence.

The authoritative licence is the licence distributed by each component or
data provider. Project links above are provided to make those terms easier to
locate.
