# Map in a Box name and branding

Copyright licensing and branding are separate. The GNU General Public License
permits copying, modification and redistribution of the covered source code,
but it does not grant permission to suggest that another person's modified
build is an official release by Sam Taylor.

You may accurately describe a work as being based on Map in a Box and may make
truthful references needed for compatibility or attribution. Modified public
distributions should use a distinct product name and branding unless Sam
Taylor has given written permission to use the Map in a Box identity.

Official releases are published by Sam Taylor through the MapInABox repository
and its linked distribution channels.
