# Terms of Service

These terms cover GenLauncher, a free, open-source launcher for *Command & Conquer: Generals* and *Zero Hour*, and its
optional Google Drive backup feature. By using GenLauncher you agree to them.

**What it is.** GenLauncher is a fan-made tool that helps you install, switch between and start mods for games you
already own. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Electronic Arts, the authors of any mod, or Google.
*Command & Conquer* and *Generals* are trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc.

**Your game and your mods.** You need your own copy of the game. GenLauncher does not provide the game or host any mod:
mods come from their authors (their own pages, or a direct download link that the author published and that you start by pressing Install), or from files you already have. Check each mod's page
for its licence and conditions. You are responsible for what you install.

**Your game folder.** GenLauncher changes your game folder while the game runs and restores it afterwards. It is built to
undo its changes even after a crash, but back up anything you cannot afford to lose.

**Google sign-in (optional).** If you sign in, GenLauncher stores copies of its configuration file in a hidden app folder of
your own Google Drive, as described in the [Privacy policy](PRIVACY.md). You can sign out and delete those copies at any
time. The feature is provided only to keep your settings, and you may use GenLauncher fully without it.

**No warranty.** GenLauncher is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the authors
are not liable for any damage or loss, including to your game, saved games, settings or files, arising from its use. Some
mods or third-party tools you choose to install can also cause problems; those are the responsibility of their authors.

**Changes.** These terms and the privacy policy may change; the current versions are always the ones in this repository
at <https://github.com/soheilous/GenLauncher>. Using GenLauncher after a change means you accept the new version.
