--- name: five9-ng-rest-admin description: 'Use the Five9 Next Generation REST Admin API. Use for NG REST Admin API discovery, supported versions, domain probes, and future verified administration resources under api.five9.com/restadmin/api.' argument-hint: 'Describe the NG REST Admin operation and domain' user-invocable: true disable-model-invocation: false --- # Five9 NG REST Admin Use this skill only for the Five9 Next Generation REST Admin API documented by the team's Postman collection. ## Current Coverage The MCP server currently implements four read operations: - `five9_ng_list_versions`: list supported REST API versions for a domain. - `five9_ng_get_version`: retrieve one supported version. - `five9_ng_probe`: retrieve NG REST Admin and VCC version information for a domain. - `five9_ng_list_users`: list users for the domain associated with the current credentials. See [version discovery](./references/version-discovery.md) for the verified paths, parameters, and response fields. See [users](./references/users.md) for the list-users contract and safe default fields. ## Workflow 1. Confirm the request belongs to NG REST Admin and uses the documented base URL `https://api.five9.com/restadmin/api`. 2. Use Basic authentication supplied through `FIVE9_USERNAME` and `FIVE9_PASSWORD`. Never place credentials in source, URLs, logs, or chat. 3. Prefer `domainId=me` where the endpoint documents it. Otherwise require the domain ID explicitly. 4. Use only an implemented MCP tool or an endpoint verified in the supplied Postman collection. 5. Treat every unimplemented resource as a separate addition requiring contract review, a focused client method, an MCP tool, and tests. ## Safety - Current coverage is read-only. - Do not infer endpoints or payload fields from legacy Admin Web Services or another Five9 API. - Do not expose response data containing customer configuration or user information beyond what the task requires. - Do not add a mutation until its request body, concurrency headers, response, and verification procedure have been reviewed.
