SignalX is built to keep your reading private. In plain language: we don't track you, we don't sell your browsing history, and there is no SignalX server collecting your data.
No tracking
SignalX does not include analytics, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting. We do not build a profile of you and we do not record which articles you read.
No sale of your browsing history
Your reading and search activity stays on your device. We never sell, rent, or share your browsing history with anyone.
No server
SignalX has no backend server of its own. The extension runs entirely inside your browser. There is no SignalX account, and nothing you do is sent to us.
Your AI key
If you add an AI key to unlock summaries and comparison, that key is stored locally on your device, encrypted, in Chrome storage. It is never synced across devices and never sent to SignalX.
Your key — and the article text needed to produce a summary — leave your device only when they are sent to the AI provider you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or OpenRouter). That provider's own privacy terms then apply to that request.
News content
Headlines and articles are fetched directly from publishers' RSS feeds by your browser. These requests go to the news sources themselves, not through any SignalX server.
Feedback & bookmarks
Your thumbs up / thumbs down feedback and your saved bookmarks are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.
