# Skillbase Cursor plugin

Connect Cursor to [Skillbase](https://app.skillbase.club) over MCP:

- **Sign in with the browser** — Cursor opens Skillbase; you allow access (OAuth). No token paste.
- **Remote skills** — `get_skill` loads markdown into the chat (no download)
- **Selective sync** — `prepare_install` packages a Cursor `SKILL.md`; the agent writes it to `.cursor/skills/` (or `~/.cursor/skills/`)
- **Bundled skills** — `skillbase` + `skillbase-sync` teach the agent when to use each path

The MCP server is hosted by the Skillbase web app (`/api/mcp`), not this repo.

## Setup

1. Install this plugin (Marketplace or local symlink below).
2. Optional: set `SKILLBASE_MCP_URL` for a local Skillbase (`http://localhost:3100/api/mcp`). Default is production.
3. Enable the Skillbase MCP server — Cursor should prompt you to sign in in the browser.

## Local test

Reload Cursor. Point `SKILLBASE_MCP_URL` at your local app if needed.

Cursor handles OAuth when the server challenges with `401` + protected-resource metadata.
