Short version: Your prompts never leave your device. We collect only anonymous usage counts and validate Pro license keys. No personal data, no tracking.

1. Who We Are
Prompt Autocomplete is an independent Chrome browser extension. It is not affiliated with any AI company or platform.

2. What We Collect

Your prompts — stored locally on your device only. Never transmitted.

Anonymous usage statistics — we collect aggregate counts such as total prompts saved and total uses via Google Analytics (event data only). No personal identifiers, no prompt content, no browsing history is included in these events.

Pro license key — if you purchase Pro, your license key is sent to our verification server (pro-xi-navy.vercel.app) to confirm validity. Only the key is transmitted. No personal information is attached.

We do not collect your name, email, IP address, browsing history, AI responses, or any personally identifiable information.

3. Local Storage
All prompt data is stored exclusively in Chrome's local extension storage on your device using chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync.

Never sent to any server
Never accessible to us or any third party
Deleted when you uninstall the extension

4. Permissions We Request and Why
storage — Saves your prompts locally. No data leaves your device.
activeTab — Identifies the current AI platform so the correct input field selector is applied. No tab data is stored or transmitted.
scripting — Injects the autocomplete dropdown into the prompt input field. Reads only the current input value to match saved prompts. Writes the selected prompt back on user action. Nothing else is read or stored.
Host permissions — Required to run the content script on supported AI platforms. The script reads only the prompt input field value and writes back the selected prompt. No other page content is accessed.

5. Third Party Services
Tally.so – feedback forms are optional. Responses are subject to Tally privacy policy. No data is collected if you decide not to fill out the form.
Dodo Payments – manages Pro purchases. We never receive or keep any of your payment information.
License check server – only receives your license key for confirming your Pro license.

6. No Account Needed
The extension can be used without signing up for an account or sharing any personal data.

7. Child Data Protection
We do not collect data from children under 13 or anyone else.

8. Updates to This Privacy Policy
Any modifications to data policies will be published before their implementation.
