# Manual Unraid Template Installation A guide for manually adding custom Docker application templates to your Unraid server. ## Overview This guide covers the manual process of installing XML templates for Docker containers in Unraid. Templates define container configuration including ports, volumes, environment variables, and other Docker settings. ## Prerequisites - Unraid server with Docker enabled - SSH or terminal access to your Unraid server - Basic understanding of Docker containers and XML ## Installation Process ### Step 1: Access the Templates Directory Templates are stored in the following directory: ``` /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user/ ``` Navigate to this directory via SSH or the Unraid terminal: ```bash cd /boot/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user/ ``` ### Step 2: Download or Create Template File #### Option A: Download from Repository ```bash wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/t-mart/mousehole/master/unraid/my-mousehole.xml ``` #### Option B: Create Template Manually Create a new XML file with a descriptive name: ```bash nano my-mousehole.xml ``` Copy the XML template data from the provided file and paste it (right click - paste) Ctrl + X - Exit Y - Save Changes Enter - Save File Name ### Step 3: Add Container 1. Go to the Docker page and click **Add Container** 2. This will bring up a new container window 3. Select the **mousehole** template from the template dropdown 4. Verify all settings are correct for your setup 5. Click **Apply** ## Running qBittorrent with VPN If you're running mousehole through qBittorrent's VPN connection using `network_mode: "service:qbittorrent"`, mousehole will share qBittorrent's network stack. This means: 1. **Expose port 5010 through qBittorrent** - Add `-p 5010:5010` to qBittorrent's docker run command, or add `5010:5010` to qBittorrent's ports in docker-compose 2. **Remove mousehole's port mapping** - Don't include `-p 5010:5010` on mousehole since it's using qBittorrent's network 3. **Allow LAN access** - Add the environment variable to qBittorrent to expose the port on your local network (exact variable depends on your qBittorrent container image) Mousehole will be accessible at `http://localhost:5010`
