/Applications/BetterTerminal.app — the whole app, self-contained. Your settings live in
~/Library/Application Support/BetterTerminal.
Because this build is not signed with a paid Apple Developer certificate, macOS will warn you the first time. To open it:
You only have to do this once.
| Type English in the ✨ bar | “locate to desktop”, “what is in this folder?”, “make a folder called homework” |
| Cmd-/ | jump to the plain-English bar |
| Cmd-E | show or hide the bar |
| Cmd-T / Cmd-D | new tab / split the window |
| Cmd-F | search everything you have scrolled past |
| Cmd-Shift-P | command palette (themes, settings, everything) |
Real commands work exactly as they always have — the English bar only helps when you need it.
Drag BetterTerminal out of Applications, then remove its settings:
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/BetterTerminal
