BetterTerminal

A real macOS terminal — with a plain-English bar for people who have never used one.

This installer puts BetterTerminal.app in your Applications folder. Everything it needs is inside the app, so there is nothing else to install.

• Real shells — tabs, split panes, search, themes, command history with exit codes
• Type “go to my desktop” and it runs cd ~/Desktop — 48 plain-English phrases
• Asks before it deletes anything
• Nothing to configure, no account, works offline

Requires an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer) running macOS 12 or later.
