  Mostly used by the kids while on flights, sadly. They work well, but ought to work in passive mode - they are unable to play music without being powered on.

  What's the difference between 2 and 3? I assume 3 is newer, thus better, but are there significant differences? /cc @peterlai

  v3 is "over ear" as opposed to "around ear". IMO, it's easier to sleep with them on and fit them in a backpack.
