# role-model Contributor License Agreement

Version 1.0

This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between the
individual making a Contribution ("You") and try-works ("Licensor") for
contributions to the `role-model` repository and related project materials.

Only individual contributions are accepted under this Agreement. If an
employer, client, company, or other entity has any ownership, approval, or
control rights over a proposed Contribution, that Contribution must not be
submitted to this repository.

## 1. Definitions

"Contribution" means any code, documentation, data, design, issue text,
comment, test, or other material that You intentionally submit to the
project for inclusion, review, or discussion.

"Submit" means any form of delivery to the project, including opening or
updating a pull request, posting patches, uploading files, or adding review
comments that contain proposed project content.

## 2. Copyright License

You retain ownership of Your Contribution, but You grant Licensor a
perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable,
irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, prepare derivative
works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, make available,
sell, offer for sale, import, export, and otherwise exploit Your
Contribution, in whole or in part, in any form and under any license terms
chosen by Licensor.

This grant includes the right for Licensor to relicense Your Contribution
under open source, source-available, commercial, proprietary, or dual-license
terms, and to authorize others to exercise those rights through sublicenses.

## 3. Patent License

You grant Licensor and Licensor's sublicensees a perpetual, worldwide,
non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable (except as stated in
this section), royalty-free patent license under any patent claims that You
can license, or become able to license, that would be infringed by Your
Contribution alone or by the combination of Your Contribution with the
project to which You submitted it. This license includes the right to make,
have made, use, sell, offer for sale, import, and otherwise transfer works
that include Your Contribution.

If You initiate patent litigation alleging that the project or a Contribution
infringes a patent, any patent licenses granted by You under this Agreement
for that project terminate as of the date the litigation is filed.

## 4. Your Representations

You represent that:

1. You are submitting the Contribution solely in Your individual capacity.
2. You created the Contribution yourself, or You otherwise have sufficient
   rights to submit it under this Agreement.
3. No employer, client, company, or other entity has any rights in the
   Contribution that would restrict or conflict with this Agreement.
4. Submitting the Contribution does not knowingly violate any third-party
   intellectual property, contract, or confidentiality obligation.
5. You will clearly identify any material that is intentionally copied from a
   third party and subject to separate license terms.

## 5. No Obligation

Licensor is not required to use, distribute, credit, or accept any
Contribution.

## 6. Acceptance and Assent

Submitting a pull request by itself does not accept this Agreement.

You accept this Agreement only through an explicit assent step requested by
the project, such as signing electronically or posting the designated CLA
acceptance statement on a pull request after being shown this Agreement.

## 7. Miscellaneous

This Agreement is the entire agreement between You and Licensor regarding the
license rights granted for Contributions submitted under it. If any part of
this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect.
