TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, MODIFICATION, AND CONTRIBUTION

1. PREAMBLE & SOURCE-AVAILABLE STATUS
   The source code of the Liner software ("Software") is made publicly available
   to foster transparency, enable security review, and welcome collaborative
   community contributions to the official Liner upstream project.
   
   THIS SOFTWARE IS SOURCE-AVAILABLE. IT IS NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN NOR UNRESTRICTED
   OPEN SOURCE. ANY USE, COPYING, MODIFICATION, OR REDISTRIBUTION OUTSIDE THE
   EXPLICIT PERMISSIONS OF THIS LICENSE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

2. PERMITTED PERSONAL & EVALUATION USE
   Subject to the terms and limitations of this License, you are granted a
   personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to:
   a) Inspect, study, and review the source code of the Software.
   b) Compile, build, and run the Software locally solely for your own personal,
      private, non-commercial, and non-monetized use.
   c) Modify the Software locally for testing, debugging, or personal experimentation.

3. UPSTREAM CONTRIBUTION PERMISSION
   You are expressly permitted to create forks, branches, and modifications of
   this Software for the SOLE PURPOSE of developing, preparing, and submitting
   contributions (including bug fixes, feature improvements, performance patches,
   and documentation) back to the official upstream repository:
   https://github.com/tryliner/desktop (or official Liner project repositories).

   By submitting any modification or Pull Request to the official upstream project,
   you grant the project maintainers a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide,
   royalty-free, assignable right and license to use, incorporate, modify,
   relicense, and distribute your contribution as part of the Liner project.

4. STRICT PROHIBITIONS & RESTRICTIONS
   Unless you have received prior express written authorization from the
   copyright holders, you SHALL NOT:
   
   a) NO COMMERCIAL EXPLOITATION:
      You may NOT use, deploy, run, sell, lease, sublicense, or monetize the
      Software, or any derivative works, in whole or in part, for any commercial
      purpose, paid service, subscription model, ad-supported application, or
      enterprise offering.

   b) NO PUBLIC COMPETING FORKS OR REDISTRIBUTION:
      You may NOT publicly distribute, host, publish, release binaries, deploy
      cloud instances, or package forks, clones, or derivative versions of this
      Software (standalone or re-branded) for third-party public use.

   c) NO CODE EXTRACTION OR ASSET THEFT:
      You may NOT copy, extract, harvest, or reuse core algorithms, security
      and cryptographic subsystems (including liner-signer), custom audio
      processing logic, lyrics synchronization mechanics, visual shaders, or
      distinctive user interface designs from this Software for use in separate
      third-party applications or libraries.

   d) TRADEMARKS AND BRANDING:
      This license does NOT grant any right to use the trade names, trademarks,
      service marks, logos ("Liner"), product design, or branding assets of the
      copyright holders.

5. TERMINATION
   Any violation of the terms, conditions, or prohibitions of this License
   automatically terminates all rights granted to you hereunder with immediate
   effect. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies, binaries, and modified
   versions of the Software in your possession.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
   THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
   IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
   FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL
   THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER
