The core functionality of No-Net QR Generator is to facilitate offline file transfers between devices using a local Wi-Fi network or Hotspot. We operate on a strict "No-Cloud" policy: we do not upload, store, or view your files on any external servers.

2. Data We Collect Since the Application is designed to function primarily offline, we collect minimal data:

Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or share personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts list.

File Data: The files you choose to share are transferred directly from the "Sender" device to the "Receiver" device via a local network protocol. These files are never uploaded to the internet or any third-party cloud storage.

Log Data: In the event of an error in the app, we may collect data and information (through third-party products like Google Play Services) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

3. Permissions and Justifications To function correctly, the Application requires specific permissions on your Android device. We request these permissions solely to enable core features:

Camera (android.permission.CAMERA):

Reason: Required to scan QR codes displayed on the sender's screen to establish a connection.

Usage: The camera feed is processed locally in real-time. No images or videos are saved to your gallery or sent to any server.

Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):

Reason: Required to let you select the files (photos, videos, documents) you wish to share and to save the files you receive into your Downloads folder.

Usage: We only access the specific files you select for transfer.

Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION):

Reason: Android operating system (specifically Android 12 and below) requires Location permission to discover nearby Wi-Fi networks and to manage the Local Hotspot functionality.

Usage: We do not track, store, or share your GPS location. This is a technical requirement by the Android OS to enable Wi-Fi file transfer capabilities.

Wi-Fi and Network State (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE):

Reason: Required to create a local HTTP server and manage Wi-Fi connections to facilitate the file transfer.

4. How We Use Your Information Any data processed by the app is used strictly for:

Establishing a peer-to-peer connection between devices.

Facilitating the file transfer process requested by the user.

Improving the stability and performance of the App (via anonymous crash logs).

6. Data Retention

Files: We do not retain any of your files. Files exist only on the sender's and receiver's devices.

Links: The file sharing link generated by the App is temporary. It expires and becomes inaccessible immediately once the application is closed or the server is stopped by the user.

7. Security We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. However, since our file transfer occurs over a Local Area Network (LAN) and not the public internet, your files are significantly more secure against remote hacking attempts compared to cloud-based solutions.

8. Children’s Privacy These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.
