# Privacy Policy for BingeFlow

BingeFlow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle user information when you install and use the BingeFlow web extension (the "Extension").

## 1. Information Collection and Use

BingeFlow does **not** collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, browsing history, or sensitive user data. 

To provide its core functionality, the Extension uses the following permissions locally on your device:
* **Storage (`chrome.storage`)**: Used exclusively to store and sync your custom configurations (such as customized keyboard shortcuts, playback speed step sizes, seek durations, and the global extension enable/disable state) locally on your device or across your signed-in browser sessions.
* **Tabs (`chrome.tabs`)**: Used solely to retrieve the URL of the active tab in order to detect when you are on a supported streaming platform (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, or Disney+ Hotstar) and display the appropriate settings and controls.

No data is sent to external servers or third-party services. All processing and storage occur entirely on your local machine.

## 2. Limited Use Disclosure

Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the [Chrome Web Store User Data Policy](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/webstore/program-policies/user-data-faq), including the **Limited Use** requirements.
* We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
* We do not transfer or use your data for personalized or target advertising.
* We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

## 3. Data Security

Although BingeFlow does not transmit user data over the internet, we implement best practices to ensure that your local settings are handled securely by utilizing standard browser extension storage APIs.

## 4. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy and updating the policy text in the repository.
