# Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Beatra Discord bot ("the Bot") created by **umutxyp**. By inviting, installing, or using the Bot on your Discord server, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please remove the Bot from your server.

## 1. Eligibility and Acceptance
- You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines to use the Bot.
- By authorizing the Bot, you confirm that you have the necessary permissions to manage bots on the servers where it is installed.

## 2. Bot Functionality
- The Bot provides music playback features from sources such as YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, and direct audio links, as well as localization support for multiple languages.
- Features may change over time as updates are released.

## 3. Proper Use
- You agree not to use the Bot for any unlawful, abusive, or disruptive activities, including but not limited to:
  - Streaming copyrighted content in violation of the rights holder's terms.
  - Attempting to exploit or overload Discord's API or the Bot's infrastructure.
  - Interfering with other users' enjoyment of the Bot.
- You are responsible for moderating usage on your server and ensuring that any audio streamed via the Bot complies with Discord policies and applicable laws.

## 4. Availability and Updates
- The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Uptime is not guaranteed.
- Planned downtime, maintenance windows, or unexpected outages may occur without prior notice.
- We may update or discontinue parts of the Bot, including commands or integrations, at any time without liability.

## 5. Data Handling
- The Bot stores minimal data necessary to operate, such as server language preferences. Details are described in the accompanying [Privacy Policy](./PRIVACY_POLICY.md).
- By using the Bot, you consent to this limited data processing.

## 6. Third-Party Services
- The Bot may connect to external services (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud) to fulfill requests.
- Use of those services may be subject to their own terms. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with such terms.

## 7. Intellectual Property
- The Bot's source code is licensed under the MIT License (see [LICENSE](./LICENSE)).
- You retain ownership of the content you stream through the Bot. You grant us the limited right to transmit that content as necessary to provide the service.

## 8. Termination
- You may remove the Bot from your server at any time.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Bot for any server or user that violates these Terms or abuses the Bot.

## 9. Disclaimers
- The Bot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Bot will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

## 10. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Bot.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Bot will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for using the Bot in the 12 months prior to the claim.

## 11. Changes to the Terms
- We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the current version.
- Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, remove the Bot from your server.
