# Channel Reference The Sequencer offers a long list of channels, and with most of them the work is straightforward: you choose a parameter and put keys on it. Those are covered in the [Channels](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/channels/index.md) article. A few work differently, and each of those gets an article of its own here. Some hold [clips](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/clips/index.md) instead of keys, others need the parameter named by hand before the channel drives anything. They fall into two groups, matching the two halves of the channel picker: | [**Cinematic Channels**](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/channel_reference/cinematic/index.md) | Ready-made channels for the things a cutscene is assembled from. Each was built for one job and carries the settings that job needs. | |---|---| | [**Specific Engine Channels**](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/channel_reference/engine/index.md) | Ordinary reflected parameters that take more than picking from the menu: the parameter has to be addressed by name or index once the channel exists. | ## See Also - [Channels](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/channels/index.md) - [Clips](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/clips/index.md) - [Targets](../../../../editor2/tools/sequencer/targets/index.md)
