## What is Truee?

Truee is a verified business directory for Africa. The Truee MCP server lets AI agents search, filter, and retrieve detailed profiles of verified businesses — with contact info, location, services, branches, and verification status.

## Quickstart

### 1. Get an API key
Sign up at [usetruee.com](https://usetruee.com) and generate an API key from your dashboard.

### 2. Add to Claude Desktop

Add this to your `claude_desktop_config.json`:

### `search_businesses`
Search for businesses using natural language or structured filters. Powered by AI query understanding.

### `query_businesses`
Structured search without AI query parsing — faster and cheaper (1 credit vs 2). Use when you already know the exact keywords.

### `get_business`
Fetch the full profile of a specific business by its ID or URL slug.

### `list_categories`
List all available business category codes. Use the returned codes in `search_businesses` or `query_businesses`.
